My name is Chrissy Richardson and I am the CRM director of the at bat Family Foundation. We do a number of different things, we run camping programs for adults, for families, for youth who come in the summer. And then we also have a program that we call our foundation camps that provides facilities free of charge to qualified nonprofits in the state of Texas. We don’t do events, per se, but we do quite a bit of online fundraising. We’ll do campaigns throughout the year that involve mailings and email information being sent. There’s so much to like about DonorPerfect specifically in the fundraising area. It has allowed us to manage our donation forms ourselves. In the past, we had custom donation forms that someone built for us, which were wonderful, people will come online and they would make their donations but then we would have to manually enter that information into DonorPerfect now all of that is integrated. So that’s probably I think that’s been the most exciting thing for us, with DonorPerfect online. In my area, I work a lot with the DonorPerfect as our legacy database, but also with an interface that we’re building out for our guests and also for our admins so that we can have the registration process feed into DonorPerfect, and we can collect historical information that way. And I am not a developer, myself, but our developers who are helping with that project, say that DonorPerfect has absolutely the most flexible API that they have ever worked with, and that it’s made their work a breeze. So that’s a big plus in my book.
The support is incredible. And we have we’ve done some training that has been fabulous. The aspect of the support department that I use probably the most is the chat feature. It’s a little bit embarrassing, because I’ve had two people come up to me here and say, Oh, I recognize your name from the chat. So I think that means I use it too much. But it’s it’s very helpful. They always get back to me with a great and helpful answer, and they’re very quick to respond. I would absolutely recommend DonorPerfect, I think, outside of the fact that the software’s phenomenal. And the API like I mentioned, it’s helped us to do some custom things with our registration. I think the community is incredible the support from the DonorPerfect staff if you have a question, but also the support from other users has just been phenomenal. So when I started at the at bat Family Foundation, I had already been using DonorPerfect since the 90s. So as the newbie in the organization, I had help from my friends there. But it was also great to be able to come to this conference and
you know, learn from the DonorPerfect staff but also make connections with other people use it and sort of build up my knowledge that way.
