All right, I’m sure some more people will trickle in as time moves on, but I want to get started and respect everybody’s time. This presentation could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending upon how many questions we have, but I do want to welcome you all thanks for joining me today. We are going to cover how you can master basic prospecting and ask amounts using DonorPerfect and DonorSearch together.
First, I want to make sure everyone can hear me, so let’s test out the chat as well. So post in the chat if you can hear me, I’ll be doing both a slide presentation and working directly within the products, so you can see a real life example of how these tools can be used. All right, we’re testing the chat. Oh, I got a lot of I got a few yeses.
Okay.
Chat is down for me. Oh, you have to go in the Q A section. I’m sorry, go to questions and answered. But the fact that I see all of you saying chat is disabled for me, that’s perfect. So you can hear me, let’s utilize the Q and A section today. You can post your questions there.
Wanted to introduce myself real quick. My name is David Kinnaman. I have been with DonorPerfect for almost 18 years now. While I’m currently the director of sales, I was an account manager for many of those years, helping nonprofits achieve their goals while using DonorPerfect and our integrated solutions. Some of you may have worked with me directly, or at least received some emails from me. If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to post them in the chat or the Q and A section. I’ll stick around at the end to answer any and all questions. I may not be able to stop mid presentation to answer them, but I’ll definitely stick around at the end. I do have my colleague Julie Blatt working with me today, and she’ll be able to answer the questions live via chat of the Q and A section, and she’s been helping nonprofits achieve their fundraising goals longer than I have, and if you use DonorPerfect already, you probably recognize her name, so I’m very happy she’s with me today.
During my time here, many nonprofits have come to me asking for direction. Some are overwhelmed by the data at their fingertips and unsure of where to start or what to do next. With many options available, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I mean, I look at the menu when it’s my turn to order at a restaurant, and I break into a cold sweat from the pressure. So I certainly get it when customers come to me for suggestions. My first mention beyond using the basics within DonorPerfect is to invest in a prospect research tool, preferably one that integrates with your donor management system. And what better time than now you know using prospect research in your end campaigns will help you identify potential donors who can donate right away during this given season. Now you may hear me say the same things a few different times in a few different ways, because I really want to make sure everyone understands just how important prospect research is in the modern fundraising world. So bear with me, and like I said, ask questions as soon as they come into your head. Just go right in there and ask the questions.
So real quick today’s agenda prospect research, I’m going to focus on making sure you understand what it is and how it can help your nonprofit reach its fundraising goals for your end of year campaigns, as well as your other fundraising efforts throughout the years to come. This is going to be a very high level overview of what’s available, while demonstrating some of the very specific use cases to help you boost your year end fundraising immediately. So this is very high level. There’s a lot of feature sets. There’s a lot of functionality in DonorSearch and DonorPerfect. I even have Mike Bronson, I think, in the crowd today from DonorSearch, and he can go above and beyond what I’m going to show today, but I want to give you the biggest bang for your buck right away. So what is it? Is it even important? You know, prospect research provides nonprofits like yours comprehensive wealth data and actionable insights that assist with identifying and engaging with valuable donors in your network. So this can provide actionable information such as charitable giving. You know their donations to other nonprofits, political giving, real estate holdings, stock information, business affiliations and foundation involvement, maybe volunteering, having this type of data allows you to easily make data driven decisions without just hoping and praying you’re making the right choices. To put it even more simply, prospect research makes it easy to identify major donors, even those that may be hiding in your CRM today, determine the appropriate ask amounts and then understanding how much a person can donate and how likely they are to give to an organization like yours. Also, I’m going to show you how you can possibly discover new donors
while I go through my next breakdown in the chat. Have you ever used a prospect research tool? Give me a yes or no in the chat so I understand what level of under.
Understanding or knowledge around prospect research you may have
just to continue on. Understanding a donor’s financial capacity for giving is a vital part of your organization’s year end fundraising strategy. Indicators of a donor’s ability to give allow nonprofits to inspire maximum donations as you develop your personalized end of your appeals, understanding an individual’s ability to give allows you to tailor your asks accordingly. An ask too large might turn donors off from giving entirely, and one too small can ultimately leave dollars on the table.
So you want to be sure you’re asking for the right amounts. As an example, through prospect research, you discover a supporter with a very high net worth, estimated at 10 million plus, who has consistently been giving to you, let’s say between five and $10,000 in the past. During this end of year giving season, you could ask for a major gift at the higher end of their potential, such as 15,000 or even 20,000 by tapping into the increased generosity of the holiday season. And that can be supported by what you find through the DonorSearch feature set.
Now a little bit more about DonorSearch and what they are. You probably know about DonorPerfect. You may or may not know about DonorSearch, but we have partnered and integrated with them as a best in business product for prospect research. We’ve worked hand in hand with DonorSearch for over 10 years now. Mike, I think, to provide seamless integration and access to valuable information that can make sure you hit your fundraising goals.
Just another question for you, has anybody heard of DonorSearch or maybe used this tool in the past? Give me a yes or no in the chat.
One key aspect that sets DonorSearch apart from other prospect research tools. Besides that it integrates with DonorPerfect is its extensive Charitable Giving Database, which is the largest amongst prospect research services. This means they have the supporting data to give nonprofits like you actionable insights that you can carry over into your day to day fundraising efforts, they have found, after years of review and experience, that the best indicator of future giving is past and current giving patterns. When paired with wealth, DonorSearch can even do things such as finding donors with donor advised funds, which are becoming increasingly popular. Many individuals choose to distribute from their donor advised funds at year end for tax benefits, allowing them to make charitable contributions while receiving immediate tax deductions.
Now, if you’re familiar with prospect research, feel free to type in the chat or in the Q and A, or if you have any questions, what’s most important to you when you’re thinking of a prospect research tool, or you’re reviewing a prospect research tool
and Julie be there to help you out.
So right now I’m just going to get right into the product. I want to jump into DonorPerfect and show you how DonorSearch works with our platform. Because the easiest way to understand the full set of capabilities is to show it before I jump in there. I know we have a lot of DonorPerfect clients, and we have a lot of people that are not currently using DonorPerfect. And if you’re not familiar with DonorPerfect, that is a donor management CRM, it is the single source of truth for all of your constituent information, and integrating with DonorSearch allows us to really combine the info to make sure you’re fundraising effectively. So if you don’t have a donor, CRM, right now, if you’re looking for one, or if you’re using another one, I’m going to show you how DonorPerfect can leverage DonorSearch within the product to help your fundraising efforts. So bear with me for one second. While I hop over to DonorPerfect. I’m actually going to start writing DonorPerfect. Can everybody see my screen and see DonorPerfect. You should see fundraising goals right on the screen right now. Perfect. Got a bunch of yeses. Everybody’s awake. I haven’t put you to sleep yet, and we got a bunch of people in here. We’re ready to go. So the first thing I’m going to do is real life scenario.
I’m thinking, I’m running an end of year campaign, and it’s a major giving campaign. I need to see who can give major gifts and what I consider a major gift at my nonprofit. Let’s say it’s $10,000 I’m going to go into Kevin Plank right here. And if you’re a current DonorPerfect user, you may have noticed this button before this access DonorSearch button right within his main record. I can click on that, and it gives me two options. I can either update the current record or I can open DonorSearch. The first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to update my current record. What that is doing right now is it is going out to the DonorSearch feature set. It’s going in and finding all the data out of all the databases that it compiles information from, and it’s pulling the most important information into DonorPerfect. So if I go to the bio tab right here, and I scroll down to DonorSearch fields, it populated between 20 and 30 fields of information. And the reason it’s valuable having it in DonorPerfect is I can now use this information combined with what I already know about Kevin to.
Create custom ask amounts or targeted messaging.
There’s a few fields I want to highlight while we’re in this screen, and a few pieces of data that can help you with the lowest hanging fruit when you’re doing prospect research. Just now, a few moments ago, this was empty. Now I have information here, and one thing I want to highlight is this DS rating. Field. DS rating of one dash one means that they have
given a gift to another nonprofit of $5,000 or more. So right away, just by looking at that rating, I know that they’re they’re philanthropic individual, and they’ve given what I consider a major gift to another organization. I can then come down to the largest gift found, if I want to find out more detail about how much that gift may have been. Well, Kevin gave a million dollars. And if you haven’t, if you don’t know who Kevin Plank is, he’s a very high net worth individual. He’s the CEO of Under Armor.
There’s some other information here that might be valuable and support your fundraising efforts, but these two pieces alone are extremely valuable, because the first thing I’m going to do, once I start populating these fields within DonorPerfect, within these different records, I’m going to run a report in DonorPerfect that says, Show me all my one dash, ones that have given me less than $1,000
and whoever pops up. It could be five people, it could be 10, it could be 15, it could be 20, it could be even one, one person. One person is enough to get a major gift that is going to change your end of year fundraising.
So immediately, if I get five results, if I get 1020 I’m putting them in a totally different list for my targeted outreach. I’m not sending them my cookie cutter direct mails. I’m not just sending them the email that everybody else is getting on the list. I’m upgrading them to my major donor segmentation, and I want to pause for a second, and I want to make sure everybody’s kind of understanding where I’m going with that. So in the chat, put in questions around this initiative. And if this makes sense, now, if you’re a current DonorPerfect client, and you’re clicking on that button and you don’t have DonorSearch, it’s going to tell you to call me, or it’s going to tell you to call Julie, or it’s going to ask you to download more information.
DS sounds stands for DonorSearch. So the rating system, there’s a few different ratings. The one I’m highlighting now is the one, one that means they have a match for a given gift over $5,000 elsewhere. Now, before I move on, I want to talk about price. I know, typically at presentations, we talk about pricing later, but there’s a lot of different options here, just for $19 per month, you can get access to this button right here, this access DonorSearch button, and you can do up to 100 searches per month for just $19
so if you find one person that is a dash one, dash one in your system, and they’ve given you,
I don’t know, less than $1,000 less than $2,000
immediately, you can pay for this feature set and this service and your donor management system or support your your your mission for years to Come, with one major gift, there are diamonds in the rough within your own database, and that’s how you’re going to find them.
Now, we populated all those fields, and like I said, for just $19 a month, you can get 100 clicks of that button. But we talked about the rating, we talked about the largest gift they ever gave. That’s great. That’s great news that they’ve given a lot elsewhere. But there’s more to that, more to fundraising than just knowing that somebody gave a gift at some point, and it was a large amount. We need to know more. You know who they give? When did they give that gift? Who are they giving? It to do they give to organizations like me? So when I click on this button, I can do the other option. I can click on Open DonorSearch.
Now what this will do is it’s actually going to open Kevin planks profile, and it’s populated with the detailed information from the DonorSearch databases. You’ll see at the very top a nice, detailed breakdown, or summary, summary breakdown of what you saw before. So this DS one one rating. What does that mean? This means they’re exact matches a donor who is given 5000 or more within their database. They may also have high markers of wealth, and you can see more detail about hey, what do they what type of matches do we have around charitable giving, political giving, real estate value, things like that. Now
the next thing you’re going to look for is, what types of organizations is Kevin given to? Is he going to give to an organization like mine? So I’m going to scroll down a little bit and.
Going to start getting that detailed information. So this snapshot is very helpful. Once again, from a high level overview, let’s pretend my organization is a humane society. I see that he gives a lot to higher ed or human services or Arts and Cultures types organizations. So he may not be the best prospect for me to tailor a major giving campaign for. He just may not. So that’s the next step to this. And beyond the giving snapshot, I can look at a lot of different detailed information, and I’m going to skip right to charitable giving, because what this does is it provides real insight into when and where and how much he’s giving to other nonprofit organizations. So I can see that, hey, he’s given to schools. The majority of his charity, the majority of his philanthropic efforts, are going to education based organizations. So I may not want to spend my time on a lot of direct mail efforts, but he’s in my database. He’s given to us before, so maybe he gets something simple. He’s not going to get personal outreach from me as the director or follow up calls, but he may.
So this is one way that you can look into and see exactly where and how and when he’s giving donations to other organizations. It’s just trying to arm you with the information you need to, once again, ask donors for the right amount of money.
Now, as I scroll down on this list, there’s a lot of additional information that can really support your fundraising efforts. If you are an organization that applies for grants consistently, let’s play pretend again and imagine that Kevin Plank is a major donor that has given, year over year to your organization. Very great connection. I don’t know you’re a school instead of a humane society. In this scenario, you can see that he is associated with grant giving foundations, and you could talk to him about, you know, applying for a grant through those foundations and maybe winning or getting some sort of funding. So understanding where to go for grant applications, and if you have connections already that can help you understand what you can do to increase your fundraising efforts through grants as well. The other thing this arms you with is understanding, you know, Kevin’s on the board at the same time as Desiree, who’s actually his wife here. So maybe it’s not a great example, but you can go through these different pieces of information. You know, if they’re affiliated with Grant Seeking nonprofits or different organizations, you can see who’s on the board with them, who are C level employees with them, and you can leverage your relationship with Kevin. You know, now let’s pretend I’m a school. Kevin gave $25,000
for the new gym this year, and he’s getting his name on there. Maybe Kevin, let me, let me try to find a place where he’s got some other affiliations.
Let’s pretend Boomer Esiason was also an executive director at the Boomer Esiason foundation. You could say, Hey, Kevin, I know you were a director at the Boomer sierrasen Foundation. Do you think maybe you could get Boomer to match your gift and we can get your his name on the locker room? So you can leverage relationships and even put people into your inner circle to see if there’s overlaps between relationships. There’s a great breakdown right here of different people that could you could potentially leverage your relationship with Kevin to increase your fundraising and find new major donors. Looks like we’ve had a lot of new attendees jump in. If you have any questions, feel free to type them in the Q amp a section. I have Julie black, my colleague, in there answering questions. I think even Mike Bronson from DonorSearch is in there, so we can certainly help answer any questions live.
Now, there’s a bunch of additional information here, but I wanted to keep this very high level. If you wanted, you could check the real estate and their value, but to understand first, the first step to the lowest hanging fruit once you get access to DonorSearch is the rating, finding out who is not giving, who hasn’t given you that much that’s in your database already, and making sure they give to like minded organizations like yours.
So that’s first now second, I do want to go into a little bit more detail, because there’s a lot more to DonorSearch than just finding out you know more about people who are already in your system. So let’s say, let’s play pretend again.
Let’s say Kevin was a donor I’ve never interacted with before in my life.
I met him at an event this weekend. Introduced himself as Kevin Plank. He’s not in my DonorPerfect system, so I can’t click that button. We have another level of functionality through the full search suite with with DonorSearch, where I can come in live to this integrated search. It’s a separate login area you type in. Kevin Plank, my event was in Maryland, so I’m going to.
To put the state of Mary Maryland in, all I need is his first and last name in the state, and I can click search, and you know what? It pops up, potential matches, and I met his wife at the same time. We were at the bar. We were both getting drinks at the same time, talking about this great foundation we were both supporting and but I want to learn more about Kevin. I understand he was an attendee, so I’ll click search and live it is pulling up the same thing that we just looked at his full on profile, so I can get that information for people, even if they’re not in my DonorPerfect database. So we have gone above and beyond that low level cost of entry, that $19 we’re now getting into full integrated search, the full search suite, which starts at 179 a month, but I’m going to show you a lot of additional features that help really stand up that price point.
So above and beyond the integrated search for people that are not in DonorPerfect, this will give you the ability to do unlimited one off searches, as well as unlimited clicks of the button within DonorPerfect. So if you have a database of 10,000 individuals, you won’t be limited to 100 searches. You’ll be basically uncapped on the amount of one off searches you can do.
Understanding information about the people you have already is not the only piece of functionality that’s valuable within the donor, DonorSearch, full search suite. There’s additional search options where you can look up real estate by owner, reverse search by address, phone, email. Something I always like to highlight here is company gift matching by a double the donation, another great partner of ours, partner of donor, of DonorSearches as well. So if I’m capturing employer information, and let’s say Kevin gave me $1,000
and he worked for Home Depot, I can search for Home Depot, and I can see they do have a matching gift program. So I can go to Kevin and say, Hey, would you mind filling out the matching gift form from your employer to be sure we get that matching gift, so you can double your donations pretty effectively by this full search suite.
The next big piece I want to highlight within the full search suite that you’ll get is the marketing list feature set. So if we have any seasoned fundraisers on here, and I’m sure we do,
you’ve probably purchased a mailing list at some point your life, the basic spray and pray from mailing list.com or whatever it is, and you get a bunch of names and addresses and you hope and pray that they have an affinity to give to an organization like yours.
DonorSearch takes the guessing game out of that, with every full search suite subscription that starts at 179 a month, you will get access to this marketing list feature. And what that does is it allows you to download up to 500 new names of philanthropic individuals based on the criteria you enter. And you can enter over 300 different pieces of criteria, different types of filtering. As you can see here, this database has over 160 million philanthropic individuals. These are US based donors. The first thing I typically tell people to do is a lot of times people give to organizations that are close to them. So I can search by zip code I’m going to put in mine, which is 19438, we have anybody else in Harleysville here. It’s great that we’re on the same presentation together. That brings it down to about 11,000 donors. The next easiest thing to do is go into philanthropic giving categories, and I can check some of these boxes. Basically, what I’m looking for is donors that have given to organizations in my zip code, to these types of organizations, peer type organizations. I’m an education based nonprofit now. I have 663
that I can download and I can add to my outgoing direct mail efforts. I’m not praying and hoping that I have people that have a propensity to give to an organization like mine. It is proven they are charitable individuals, and I get their names and addresses and I can add them to my direct mail efforts. This is for direct mail, and then I can do further prospect research if I want to hone in on ask amounts for these people, once I export this will no longer be encrypted, so I will see their full breakdown of their their names and email addresses. No email addresses. I’m sorry, their names and mailing addresses. Excuse me, that is a huge piece of functionality that you get with the full search suite, above and beyond the search options you see here, and the ability to do unlimited one off searches, either via the button or if they’re outside of DonorPerfect within the platform itself.
Now you may say I have 10,000 people in my system. I have 5000 people in my.
System, I have a list of 25,000 I can’t click the button or do individual searches for them all at one it’ll take me forever, and it would, and that’s why DonorSearch and DonorPerfect also offer what’s called a batch screening. So we can do a batch screening or review of 1000s of names all at once and populate the fields that you saw within DonorPerfect A few moments ago in one big fell swoop that saturates DonorPerfect immediately with actionable information. So those reports I told you to run earlier, you can break down people into different levels. Hey, people that can give me above 10,000 people that can give me 500 to 1000 people that are great targets for, I don’t know, monthly giving programs, things like that. So that is really one of the biggest pieces of biggest benefits you can get out of this process as well, is a batch screening, because that sets you up from the beginning to start really acting on that data, not just at year end, but continuously. So you may see that certain donors are only giving during the summertime. So you can start segmenting your lists appropriately based on the information you’re getting out of a batch screening.
So that’s the very high level overview of the feature set. I do want to talk about a little bit more detail, but I’m going to head back into
my slide deck here just to provide some more information
about prospect research, DonorPerfect and how DonorSearch can help support that. So I wanted to you know, I don’t know if you’re under aware, but nearly 30% of all donations come in during the last three months of the year. So if you were on the fence about prospect research, or you were curious about it, or you know, you need to do it, but you just haven’t pulled the trigger, now is the time to find the untapped potential hidden in your existing network. So once again, just to summarize the subscription, the Access button, access DonorSearch button and DonorPerfect, you can get 100 clicks of that per month for just $19 a month. And you can start there. Then you can upgrade to the full search suite, which includes unlimited clicks individual search in the DonorSearch area, marketing list feature and additional batch screenings. So once again, a reminder, the marketing list allows you to find potential donors who are interested in your cause using those filters, including wealth, history, affinity, interests, how many kids they have, if they’re a cat owner, a dog owner, and more. There’s over 300 criteria you can search upon. The typical subscription includes 500 credits to download new names. We are offering a nice little end of your benefit. If you purchase before the end of the year, we’ll bump that up to 1000 credits, and we’ll talk about that more a little bit later.
So what this will allow you to do, and especially the batch screening, where we can do everybody in your system all at once is it’s really going to help you locate high impact donors by really pinpointing those who are able and ready and really at the willing to give. So once again, that batch screening includes a single batch screening for prospective donors. We will rank prospects by recency, frequency and value, which includes thorough philanthropic and wealth reviews. There is a data verification process so there are confidence levels applied to each data point, and then we will score based on the likelihood of giving. So these batch screenings allow you to saturate your system with actionable data in one big fell swoop, like I said, and then segment for targeted solicitation or tailored outreach.
Now, a new piece of functionality if you’ve used donors, DonorPerfect and DonorSearch in the past, this MLR score is a new piece of functionality that we’re adding to batch screenings and we’re adding to the fields within DonorPerfect. And what MLR stands for is most likely to respond. And what that does is it finds donors that are likely to respond positively to your appeals, meaning they’ll make a contribution, which allows you to focus your efforts where they matter, and ensures your year end appeals reach the right donors. And as an added bonus, you’ll be able to save on postage. So what this does is it utilizes AI and machine learning to identify donors most likely to respond to your charitable appeals, and it applies a scoring system so each donor receives a likelihood score, guiding you towards your most engaged prospects.
This does come free with batch screenings, so it’s just a value added AI driven ranking model, and it is a relative score. So I want to make sure everybody is available. It is specific to each batch screening, so it’s not compared to other organizations. It is looking at your data set. So if I apply so provide 5000 donors to screen, it’s going to rank them appropriately against each other.
So you can focus on the top and move down
next. Another new service that can be applied to batch screenings are DonorSearches. Ai powered prediction models that can help you further segment and prioritize. They provide data backed insights to identify top donors in your network and improve your outreach efforts once you’ve completed a batch screening on your system, applying any of these AI models to the data can give you, once again, a more direct list of prioritized follow up, and that’s dependent upon the predictors you choose. So DonorSearches, AI prospect scores offer precise, data driven predictions to identify the most promising donors for your organization customized to your unique goals, these scores enhance the effectiveness of your fundraising efforts. So the acquisition or first time donors model predicts individuals most likely to give their first gift, guiding your approach. The retention model identifies first time donors who are likely to make additional gifts. So aiding and nurturing and retaining supporters, maybe they’d be good targets for monthly giving campaigns as well. Upgrade models
predicts which existing donors are likely to contribute $250 or more. So enabling you to target upgrade strategies, all three, I think, are very valuable fundraising initiatives. And you know, if the budget allows, I would be a supporter of all. I mean, we need to lean into AI and data driven
decisions, and this will allow you to do so.
So
remember the one key thing I always mention to nonprofits to boost their success, especially as we approach the end of year, prospect research. You haven’t done prospect research, you need to start either thinking about it or dipping your toe in the pool. Of you know that at least that access DonorSearch button. This is not like a sales thing. This is I’ve been helping support nonprofits for a long time. So is Julie, so is Mike, and this is the quickest way to improve your fundraising success immediately. So by identifying the right donors, understanding their giving patterns, you can significantly enhance your fundraising efforts. I know I talked about it a little bit earlier, but I want to give a quick pricing overview of what I’ve demonstrated
so you can find something that really works for you in your budget. The subscription options range from $19 per month, and these come with a one year commitment, $19 per month, which allows 100 clicks of that button to $179
per month, which allows unlimited clicks as well as unlimited searches for those people that are outside your system, along with the marketing list credits of up to 1000
and the reverse search matching, gift search, social discovery. There’s a lot of additional functionality. And if you’re interested, we can certainly share all the functionality with you. And then a batch screening. And AI models, which are dependent upon the batch screenings, really dependent upon the number of records you submit. That starts at 1250 and goes up. And then the AI models $1,500 each. It is not lost to me that prospect research has a decent price tag. However, DonorSearch and the tools like it are so valuable and that you might uncover a major donor that can pay for most of your technology budget needs for years to come. I mean, this is
the epitome of the spend money to make money situation, prospect research for nonprofits.
And you know, you may not trust me, but I want to tell you about a successful client. You know, everything I said is true and accurate, but at the end of the day, you need to see real life examples. So an executive director, who serves as a primary fundraiser of a nonprofit Dance Company, noticed the use of DonorSearch immediately impacting their fundraising levels. They were starting from scratch, building a donor database and all that. During that time, they were looking for a new headquarters. So they really had to prioritize donor outreach due to their small fundraising team, so they turned to DonorSearch to find who was likely to give out of their current record system, their current list of donors, and DonorSearch helped them segment so they could focus on next steps. They needed to make big asks, but were comfortable doing so because don’t the DonorSearch data supported that information, and they showed that these prospects had made substantial donations elsewhere to pure type or like minded organizations.
It also helped them effectively look at grants and found a grant that they didn’t even know existed until they had DonorSearch. And because of all this, they were able to raise 100,000
$1,000
in a quick period of time and locked in a new space for their organization to continue to grow. They came back and said DonorSearch is essential to their continued fundraising, and it helped them get the word out in a streamlined way when they had limited resources. And Matthew cook at Blue 13 Dance Company, this is directly from his mouth, you will make your money back easily, give you a return on investment in the first year.
So in conclusion, I do want to offer. I do have this exclusive offer I already talked about a little bit, but
it’s available if you move forward with DonorPerfect and DonorSearch before the end of the year, batch screening, which is typically $2,495
for 5000 records, would be discounted to by about $1,200
and you can also upgrade the 500 credits for the marketing list to 1000 so that means you’ll be able to download 1000 new names of potential donors that have an affinity to give to an organization like yours. You can do that before the end of the year. As soon as you log in, you can start running those searches and utilizing the information.
Now that’s it. I told you this was going to be a pretty quick presentation, but I know there are probably a lot of questions, so I’m going to open up the Q and A and we’ll see. I’m sure Julie, maybe even Mike, was in there answering some of them. I want to thank everybody for joining me. Before I get to that this was recorded. We will send out the recording to everybody that attended tomorrow, and if you had to leave early, or if you’re unable to attend, we will send that out as well. I wanted to thank you, and hopefully this was informational and well presented, but I’m going to stick around to do some Q and A.
All right?
And Julie, it looks like you answered a lot of questions already. I was just going to say I think I got most of them, but feel free to if anybody didn’t get them, because there was the chat and then there’s the Q and A, so I was literally going back and forth. So I think I got everybody. But if I didn’t, you know, please ask it again. Yes. Beth. Beth asked a good question in the Q and A, just here is the year end deal only good for the 179 a month subscription. Yes, yeah, the 179 a month subscription is how you’re going to get access to the prospect credits. So you do need to start with that $19 a month. Still a great price point, still a great time to start.
That’s that you are correct. So answered, live.
Yolanda, would like to get something scheduled ASP, that’s great. We will have somebody reach out to you, Yolanda, and if everybody, if you do want to get started right away, feel free to type that in the chat. This chat will go directly to the account managers that can reach out to you effectively, most of our donors email, but you’re proposing mailing via snail mail, is that effective? Gigi, yes, snail mail is still effective. Direct Mail is still an effective fundraising initiative. However, I am not saying that should be your only fundraising methodology that is more so directed towards the information you download as part of the marketing list, because that is going to give you a name and addressed and addressed that marketing with list feature, and it will not provide you an email, so you will have to do utilize direct mail in order to connect with those, those people that you download from The marketing list. But yes, direct mail is not dead, if the message is appropriate and the information, the AI data, says they’re likely to respond, direct mail is not dead, and it should not be, for the most part. There is nuance for each type of organization. There are different types of organizations where they have great connection with their donors by email or text or live events that where they don’t need to rely on direct mail. But it’s certainly not dead. I would, you know, discuss that with your account manager if you want more information and more feedback.
Erica has a good question, so I’ll try to summarize. So Can Can you explain what all is included in the 179 per month subscription. So the first thing that’s included is unlimited clicks of the access DonorSearch button within the DonorPerfect system, that’s one. Then within the DonorSearch full search suite, you’ll be able to do unlimited searches on individuals that may be outside of DonorPerfect. So if you meet somebody, or if you have a separate list, you can do unlimited one time searches. That also gives you access to the marketing list feature, which allows you to download, if you purchase before the end of the year, up to 1000 new names of potential donors that may give to an organization like yours. There’s also.
Additional functionality where you get access to the double donation database, reverse search feature sets foundation search and access to annual reports for other nonprofits and a portfolio of view of all people you have searched. There’s a little bit more functionality in there, but our account managers can certainly assist you with that.
Okay, looks like got some people asking to reach out. So that’s great.
You may have gotten every
question to the discounts apply for a year. Yeah, so the discount is on a batch screening, which is a one time run, and the credits can be used at any time throughout the contract year. So, yes,
awesome.
Okay, that’s great. We’re going to download the chat. I see a lot of people are interested. And the one thing I want to you know our way leave everybody with is
the $19 per month is a great way to understand the information that you have at your fingertips. And then you can always upgrade if you’re worried about working this into the budget now, but we have
a lot of clients that have jumped into the full search suite, and they renew year over year, because it is really supporting their fundraising growth every year.
Some more questions coming in. Okay,
yes, individual demos are certainly available. I went very high level here. If you talk to your account manager, they can do a similar demonstration, or they can even show you additional features or dig a little bit deeper into the individual profile. I wanted to focus on the low hanging fruit, the easiest pieces of information to utilize. But there is a ton of functionality within both DonorPerfect and DonorSearch, especially when they’re working together.
All right, thank you, everybody.
If you have no questions, you can certainly sign out. You’ll get the recording. I’ll stick around for another minute or two to see if anybody has any additional questions. At any point you
All right.
Thank you, everybody. You got it. Tony, we’ll give you a call.
No problem. Audra, our account managers can can talk you through that
and see what’s best for you. You
all right, thanks. Everybody. Have a great afternoon.
Thank you. Julie, appreciate it. All right. Take care. Everybody. Bye, bye.
